The other week the boy and I went to the Tate Modern, it was a miserable day and I was tired and grumpy and we both got lost and we were cold, anyway, after debating if we should just turn around and go back home we eventually made it to the Tate Modern and I'm glad we did because (despite it being quite large, there are like 5 floors I think) it was very enjoyable, I especially liked the
Waiting For Tear Gas slides by Allan Sekula,
There was something very very soothing that day sitting in a darkened room listening to the hum and click of the projector and looking at people from both sides of a protest, I'd advise everyone to go to it if they're feeling a bit like everything's a bit too loud or they need to get away from the world or themselves, good for insomniacs too! I also re found two photographers that I love -
Graciela Iturbide (born 1942 in Mexico City)
Miyako Ishiuchi (born 1947 Japan)
